I began tuning pianos in 2010 and completed the Randy Potter School of Piano Technology in 2011.
I also attended a week long hands-on training seminar in Bozeman, Montana in January 2011, and an advanced training seminar at the same location in January 2012. There I was able to improve my tuning skills as well as learn new repairing, regulating, and voicing techniques, with the help of several very experienced piano technicians from around the country.
I am a certified installer of Piano Life Saver humidity control systems (by Dampp-Chaser).
My interest in piano technology came mostly from watching the piano tuner tune my piano. I began taking piano lessons in May 1999 with the Suzuki method, and have graduated from Book 7, the last volume in the Suzuki series. In 2010 I also received a scholarship for organ lessons from the Dayton chapter of the American Guild of Organists and took lessons on the pipe organ for that year.
